Letter: Vote for the man, not his skin color

Obama’s campaign is imploding. The reason? The Jesse Jacksons, Al Sharptons and Spike Lees of the world are sabotoging him with every “black power,” “chocolate city” and “us against them” they utter. If a white president can represent all of the people, black and white, why must a black president represent only the blacks?

If a white president can represent all of the people, black and white, why must a black president represent only the blacks?
This feels like the O.J. Simpson verdict to me: “he is black, he can do no wrong.”
Obama does not have a chance with all the “hell” he is geting from the “homeboy” community. You want a black president? Make it about the best man for the job, not the color of his skin.
